Sometimes life feels heavy, confusing, or just… too much. Maybe you're overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, grieving, anxious, or questioning who you are and where you’re going. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start therapy.
We offer a space where you can bring your story—messy, beautiful, painful, or uncertain—and begin to explore it with curiosity, compassion, and care.
What Brings People to Counselling?
People seek counselling for many different reasons. You might be:
-
Living with anxiety or feeling constantly on edge
-
Overwhelmed by stress or responsibility
-
Experiencing burnout or emotional exhaustion
-
Living with the impact of trauma or difficult life experiences
-
Navigating grief or loss
-
Questioning your identity, direction, or purpose
-
Feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you
-
Adjusting to migration, cultural tension, or major life transitions
Whatever brings you here, your experiences make sense in the context of your life. Together, we'll work to understand them with curiosity, compassion, and care.
How we work
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Every person brings a different story, different strengths, and different hopes for change. Together, we'll find an approach that fits your needs and goals, rather than expecting you to fit a particular model of therapy.
Our work may draw from:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
EMDR (when appropriate)
-
Attachment-informed therapy
-
Narrative and relational practices
-
Nervous system regulation
We pay attention to your history, your culture, your relationships, and the systems that shape your experience. We move at your pace while gently supporting growth and clarity.
What to Expect
Sessions are 50 or 75 minutes and are available virtually across British Columbia. Together, we'll decide on a pace that feels supportive and realistic for your goals.
Our work together may focus on:
-
Understanding patterns that keep repeating
-
Building emotional regulation skills
-
Processing difficult experiences safely
-
Strengthening boundaries and communication
-
Clarifying values and next steps
Counselling is about creating space to understand yourself more fully.
Is This a Good Fit?
Individual counselling may be a good fit if you:
-
Want to better understand yourself and your experiences
-
Are looking for support through a difficult time or life transition
-
Feel ready—or even just curious—to explore new ways of coping and relating
-
Value a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy
