I’m a Latinx therapist offering trauma-informed, socially conscious counselling for individuals navigating layered identities, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and the pressures of professional life.

My approach is grounded in cultural humility, anti-oppressive values, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

I hold a PhD in Philosophy, an MA in Equity Studies and Master of Counselling, which shape my commitment to critical reflection, relational healing, and systemic awareness in the therapy room. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades in brand management and corporate leadership—experience that helps me support clients working through burnout, misalignment, or identity challenges in high-demand environments.

I offer a calm, collaborative space where healing, clarity, and personal agency can emerge.

Healing is not linear — it’s relational, political, and yours. We offer counselling that holds space for complexity and honours the histories we carry.  Whether you're navigating trauma, identity, grief, relationships, or change — we walk alongside you.

Let’s begin with a conversation. Schedule a free 20-minute consultation.

Services

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, I offer a space where your full story can be held with care and complexity. Whether you’re processing trauma, experiencing anxiety or depression, navigating grief, or wrestling with questions of identity, belonging, and meaning, our work will be guided by your values and lived experience. Together, we’ll explore not just how to cope—but how to reclaim parts of yourself that may have been silenced by oppression, marginalization, or past harm.

Couples Therapy

Relationships can be sites of both profound connection and deep wounding. In couples therapy, I support partners of all constellations—monogamous, polyamorous, queer, intercultural, or otherwise—in navigating conflict, disconnection, or transitions with honesty and care. Whether you’re struggling with communication, trust, intimacy, or long-standing patterns that keep you stuck. Our work will create a space for both partners to feel seen, heard, and valued.

EMDR Therapy

Trauma often shows up in ways we don’t expect—emotional reactivity, numbing, self-doubt, or even physical pain. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps the brain and body process traumatic memories and restore a sense of safety. Whether you’re dealing with childhood trauma, medical trauma, interpersonal violence, or the cumulative impacts of systemic oppression.

Relationship Therapy

Not all important relationships are romantic. I work with business partners, collaborators, and chosen family members who are navigating high-stakes dynamics where trust, communication, and shared vision are essential—but not always easy. Whether you’re dealing with role confusion, misaligned expectations, emotional reactivity, or creative conflict, our work will focus on building clarity, mutual respect, and sustainable collaboration.

Areas of Expertise & Training

Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all process. We know that each person comes with unique histories, identities, and needs, which is why we draw on a broad range of approaches and trainings. Our work is shaped by evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed practices, and lived experience, while always keeping relationships, culture, and community at the center.

Below you’ll find both the areas we specialize in and the therapeutic approaches we’ve trained in — so you can get a sense of how we might work together and what tools we bring into the room.

Trainings & Approaches

Over the years, I’ve trained in a range of therapeutic approaches to better meet the unique needs of the people I work with.

These methods give me different tools to support both individuals and couples, while always staying grounded in a decolonial, anti-oppressive, and relational lens. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Supporting trauma healing by helping the brain reprocess painful memories. Emotion-Focused Therapy (Individuals & Couples): Helping people and partners understand emotions more deeply, heal attachment wounds, and strengthen connection. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Practical tools for managing emotions, building distress tolerance, and improving relationships. Relational Therapy: Centering connection and trust as the heart of healing. Culturally Sensitive & Multicultural Approaches: Therapy that honours language, culture, migration, and lived experience. Trauma-Focused Therapy: Grounded, safe, and paced support for survivors of trauma. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Focusing on what’s possible and building on existing strengths. Motivational Interviewing: Respectful, non-judgmental support for change and growth. Humanistic & Person-Centered Therapy: Grounding the work in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. Strength-Based Practice: Highlighting resilience and capacity, not just problems. Couples Therapy Approaches (including the Gottman Method): Integrating evidence-based tools for communication, trust repair, and lasting connection. These approaches guide how I show up in the room, but the heart of the work is always connection — meeting you where you are, and moving toward more ease, resilience, and healthier ways of relating.

What we work with

I work with individuals, couples, and communities facing the weight of trauma, conflict, and life transitions. My practice is

relational and trauma-informed, with special care for cultural identity, migration stories, and the complexities of belonging. Trauma & PTSD: When the past feels too close, we help you find steadier ground. Anxiety, Stress & Mood: Tools to calm the nervous system and lift the heaviness. Relationships & Infidelity: Repair patterns, rebuild trust, and reconnect. Family & Life Transitions: Navigate intergenerational tension, migration, identity, and change. Grief & Loss: Space to honour what’s gone and carry it with less isolation. Addiction & Coping Skills: Compassionate support for change, without shame. Chronic Illness & Pain: Care for the emotional load of living in a body that hurts. Body Image & Self-Esteem: Soften the inner critic and build respect for your body. LGBTQ+ (including lesbian & bi): Affirming care for queer and trans communities. Open Relationships, Non-Monogamy & Kink-Allied: Non-judgmental support for consensual, authentic connection. Racial & Cultural Identity: Explore who you are in context — with dignity and care. Neurodivergence (ADHD & Autism): Support for understanding, acceptance, and navigating a world that isn’t always built for you. Women’s Experiences (menopause, pregnancy & postpartum): Care for the unique transitions, pressures, and changes in women’s lives. Domestic & Intimate Partner Violence (Survivors): Safety, validation, and trauma-informed support. Caregivers: Hold what you carry, without carrying it alone. Men’s Issues & Healthy Masculinities: A space to unpack old scripts and build new ways of being a man—grounded in care, accountability, and connection. No matter what brings you here — pain from the past, challenges in relationships, or the need to navigate change — we’ll take it one step at a time, together.
